Laxus vs. the ugly color

The Market place, which wasn't too far from the Residential areas where Gildarts lived, was a lively place but in a little more than a year since he had moved back to this city, he already knew exactly where he had to look to get the most qualitative things for the best prices. He had done his shopping surprisingly fast, dashing through the crowds and between the people, until he finally managed to get out of the overly crowded area, back on the main street with a bag in his right hand. The extra large bag was so filled with all kinds of vegetables, fruit, meat and other food that it was questionable whether it would even hold until he got back to his apartment, yet Gildarts held it like it was nothing. At that point, he remembered he needed to buy a few more things, and he dashed back into the crowds once again, emerging from them a few minutes later with yet another bag in the other hand. Armed with the groceries, the man whistled cheerfully to himself as he walked slowly from the Market place towards the Residential District on his way back to his apartment where he was going to put the bags down, so that he could go back to the city later on...

Still whistling softly, Gildarts was looking down at the floor as he neared his apartment, absent-mindedly pushing the doors of the fence open as he neared the main doors, until he heard a loud crash further in the town. His eyes moved up to look at sky in the distance, the guild he knew was in that direction. His body stiffened as if he had been hit by a petrification spell, and his grip on the bags loosened, making the two bags fall on the ground with a loud thud, the groceries scattering from it and rolling across the ground. But Gildarts hadn't even looked down at the mess, continuing to stare at the direction with his back turned towards him with an unbelievable stare. He could feel he was actually shivering a little bit, despite the warm sun still shining on top of both of them; it was as if the air around him had gotten colder in a mere second. His face plastered with shock as the boy would begin to turn, confirming that it was indeed the person he had thought it was, Noel felt as if someone had grabbed him by his throat and squeezed him real hard, making him unable to breathe. A few moments had passed until Gildarts was standing in the same hall facing the man known as Laxus. During his entire theory on what happened, he had been running towards the town surprisingly fast. His face with such a look of anger and rage to see this one man so calm under all the chaos, the building and air trembled from his tremendous magical power. "Explain yourself Laxative before I kick your ass. What have you done?"

The man known as Laxus was enjoying the state of the battle. More and more of the weaklings were falling, but Bixlow just got his ass handed to him. Damn weakling. Justine was fighting with the water chick and Mirajane. Mirajane would be strong if she hadn't stopped practicing. Fucking idiot. Looking up, there was another S-rank mage in the town... Mystogan? No, it wasn't him. He wouldn't be picked up by the sensors, Laxus believed. No, it was someone else. It couldn't be...

The great hall double doors broke open, the ground shook and the windows all shattered, including the skylight, falling rapidly toward Laxus. They shattered again right before it grazed him, this time, into microscopic pieces from Laxus' own magical power. Ah, Guildarts. He was back, it seemed. Now this was a REAL fight. A fight against the Old Man who was as strong as his grandfather. Heh, he was stronger than Makarov, than anyone. Even him. "I'm taking over, old man. You can bow down to me now or you could get your ass kicked first. Your choice," he said, his magical power battling against Guildart's. The pillars or columns shook from the pressure of their power, and the walls cracked. People outside the building passed out from the sheer magical force of it all.

Laxus uttered a battle cry as he bent his left knee, his right hand becoming a fist charged with lightning as Laxus punched the marble floors, sending a lightning wave toward Guildarts, almost as fast as lightning itself it was three feet wide and four feet tall headed toward the Old Man.

Gildarts eyed Laxus with cold and bloodthirsty eyes. It had truly been a long time since he had left on that day, and the old mage had had plenty of time to think about everything that he had seen during his run here. And he did think a lot about all of it. He had thought about it for hours and days it seemed, trying to sort out his mixed feelings about fighting Laxus- the ones he had seen in his mind, and his own memories of their friendship as well. There were times when he found himself staring at the book he was reading for the longest time, until he realized that it had been at least a few minutes since he had actually concentrated on what the text in the book was saying, his thoughts having trailed off to this fateful day when he had uncovered all these shocking things about his friend. There would be countless nights that he would spend lying on his back in the darkness of his own bedroom, staring up at the moonlight patters on the ceiling, trying desperately to fall asleep while his thoughts kept jumping to Laxus. It was clear by the look on Gildarts face that he was not going to bow down to this cocky little brat. Just because he hid in the shadows like a wimp did not mean he was fit to run fairy tail or even exist within it. And now this old man was going to teach this youngster why his name made his enemies shit in their pants at the mention of it. Now he was going to deal with this little lightning attack from the spikey haired kid. His hand flew up pointed at the attack with just a finger, his crash magic was at work now. His palm flew forward throwing an invisible wave of magic at the lightning causing it to deflect to the right of Gildarts. His right foot stomped down hard on the ground causing the entire building to shake and tremble but this was merely a distraction. The old man had precisely caused the tremor to knock Laxus off his feet as a large slab of rock fell from above the lightning man. It was time that Laxus was crushed down to size he thought.
